I am originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee. I graduated from The McCallie School in 1978. I also graduated from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 1983 with a Bachelors degree and from The University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 1987 with a Masters degree. I became a Christian in Knoxville in 1985 while involved with Intervarsity Christian Fellowship. I have lived and worked in Providence, Rhode Island and Winter Park, Florida. I have been working in Gainesville, FL since 1994. I married my wife, Jamy, in 2001 and we have a 4 year old son named John Jr. (JJ).
