What does the Bible say about Education and how does it apply to the current status of education in the United States. (Feel free to apply to another nation if you are from another nation).

I know, that sounds like an essay question. I admit I am asking such questions to spur my own mind to greater heights of understanding freedom.

Any thoughts?

  1. I believe that any form of education that denies the authority of God and His Word is an exercise in stupidity. I continually marvel at the unintelligent hogwash I find in my college texbooks that passes as authoritative research.

The Bible says "The fool says in his heart 'there is no God'".

We should not feel obligated in any fashion or form to follow the pattern of today's pagan education system. As a college student, I am right in the middle of it, and can't wait to get out of it.

I am biased, of course. I was homeschooled.
  2. Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them. - Deuteronomy 4:9

Hmmmm...seems we have an obligation....don't we?!
