I would love to hear thoughts on what ideas are the foundation of a Christian World View.

Or, I could just say "What is the foundation of a Christian World View."

What are the most basic and fundamental concepts?

  1. The basic foundation of course is first:
that GOD IS (I am that I am)
    and that
    JESUS IS.

(Above is the most simple basis).

Further foundations of Christian World Views usually come out of certain (wanted by will) combinations of faith (heart - the part that does the believing and deciding)and rationality (intellectual mind - the part that does the calculations, the plain thinking).
  2. Wilbau,

I like your first foundation! The existence of God!

Here are some of my thoughts!

    Foundations:

    1) In the Beginning God (Genesis 1:1) God's basic existence is a first foundation!

    2) God CREATED (also Genesis 1:1) - Before Time God was, and when time began God Created. All things created were created by God. The order of the Universe comes from Him. Life Comes From Him. The "rules" come from Him.

    More to come...
  3. 3) Man was created in the image of God (Genesis)
    4) Man could know, talk to, and experience God (Genesis)
    5) Man is responsible to be fruitful and muttiply and take dominion over the earth! (Genesis)

    More to come...
  4. I like it!! and I know it gets better.
  5. Here is one;
    "Man is fundamentally evil."

Can you guess why this has to be a foundational doctrine?
