  1. I have a dilemna. The Bible presents a pretty clear picture of the wonders of love, sexuality, and marriage. The Bible does not include a homosexual lifestyle as God's highest for a human being.

But I do not hate those who practice homosexuality. I don't believe there is such a thing as a homosexual. There are only human beings. There are men. There are women. Some people get confused (for whatever reason) and don't know God's way to bless them in their sexuality.

So... Back to my dilemna. I believe that we as Christians need to come down from our "high horse" and realize that homosexuality is a sin - a missing of the mark - just like the vices that each of us have struggled with. Those who want out of homosexuality need our help and love, those who do not need our prayers. All straights and "homosexuals" will give their account to God for their lives. Nobody is going to have to give an account to me. (or to any human but Jesus).

Having said that, I have observed that the "gay rights" movement is one of the greatest threats to religious freedom and freedom of speech. So called "hate crimes" legislation and "special rights" for "homosexuals" consists of a slippery slope to destroyed freedom for all. How can I be free if I can no longer disagree? How can I be free if I cannot chose to have moral standards for my employees? How can I be free if I cannot speak with moral clarity, even if others disagree?

    Consider these actual cases:

    Canadian Pastor:
    culturecampaign.blogspot.com/2007/12/pastor-found-guilty-of-hate-crime.html

    Swedish Pastor:
    www.lifesite.net/ldn/2004/jul/04070505.html

So, as a Christian I want to show the "homosexual" the same love that all of us sinners need. As a free man I feel obligated to oppose and speak out against the "homosexual agenda."

This question goes even deeper. As Christians in a free society where we are responsible to Speak and Vote, how do we still love and reach those who are also exercising their rights to Speak and Vote differently than we are? Especially when their "speaking" and "voting" is leading to a real threat to human freedom?

    What is the answer?

    :-)

  2. Well, the Catholic Catechism, and from I've been able to tell the Bible as well, sees the whole homosexuality thing in this way.

Homosexuality is an affliction, those with this affliction should be treated with compassion and respect. To have the affliction is not a sin any more than to be crippled or bi-polar is a sin.

However, to *act* on the deviant impulses that come with homosexuality is a sin. To condone such activity is also sinful. The duty of Christians is to bring those in sin out of sin.

    Hope that helps.
  3. I believe the answer is living what you believe while letting others believe what they believe. Then as Christians we must pray for God to change the hearts of men and women promoting this lifestyle. Then we must add faith to our prayer believing that God will confirm His word with signs and wonders the greatest being a changed heart! And we must acurately preach the gospel which is the power of God unto salvation. That gospel is that God So Loved The World that He Gave His own Son and who the Son sets free is free indeed! There is forgiveness, and grace to overcome anything contrary to the will of God!
    Grace and Peace,

  4. I think that was disorder of the universe. GOD hate that practices but He wants to help them that practice it.
We can only respect them but we must not agree about what they're doing.

If you looking the answer from GOD then we can summarize these: Sin, no, help them, show the real love of GOD

I'm affraid this is not an easy task, only with the true love of GOD, respect, therapy in time and pray that we can change them..
  5. Jesus reached out to corrupted tax payers and many many people with sinful past.
It is mentionned in Romans that homosexuality is a sin.
I feel that we as christians should reach out to them.
  6. How does God view Homosexuality?

** It is a sin just like adultery, murder or any other sin.

    How does God view Homosexuals?

** Depends on the person, the situation, the depth. Overall, sinfull.

What is the Christian Response to Homosexuals?

** Some respond one way, and others another way.

What is the Christian Response to the "Gay Rights" Movement?

** Walking in grace, and on egg shells at the same time. Some except it, others do not, and so on.

    Good questions.

What do the scriptures say to do?
  8. When it comes to unnatural affections. men with men. women with women. I am not real sure if it is our duty to reach out to them unless they first reach out.

I do beleive that we can pray for them though and that the eyes of their heart and understanding would be opened so that they could begin to acknowledge the Truth and be saved. But until deception leaves them they will continue to stand strong against the christian and the Bible.

There are many of them that say that they are christians even though their lives are contradicatory to the Word of God. But if and when they begin to reach out i truly believe we as christians should be right there to listen and to offer help and let them know that there is hope and that they are loved and lead them to Christ Jesus!

In 2 Tim.3 it talks about the last days and the perilous times to come. The Word of God never promised us that things are going to get better in the world but only worse.

I truly believe we as individuals can have our seasons of refreshing but as far as the world is concern perilous times are coming and is pretty much already here. In 2 Tim 3 it lists the sins of the last days among men and what is going to take place and then it goes on to say in verse 5 (to turn away from such).

Things are going to get worse, so it shouldn't surprise us when we as christians begin to see more and more each day how are freedoms are being suttlely taken from us on a (legal perspective) of course.

I would like to mention that we are free in Christ Jesus and though they may try to shut us up the Word in the end will be what is left standing HaHa! And i am free to speak-up whether they like it or not. If they proclaim i am guilty and throw the book at me and throw me into prison or maybe even kill this body. WELL.... so.... I am still free because i am free in Christ and death does not have a hold on me!

They may kill the body but they can't kill my soul. So i have no fear! I believe i will be taken up though before the really really bad stuff starts happenin but that is a different discussion!

So in a nutshell my answer is turn away from such (but pray) and if and when they begin to reach out be there for them. But don't be concerned about our freedoms, because we are free and the things of this world do not have a hold on us!
    1. Welcome Tamela!

      Thanks for your thoughts!

I personally have known very few who practice homosexual behavior. The ones I have known, I tried to treat them as human beings created in the image of God, just like the rest of us are! :-)
    2. We have gay people in leadership positions at our church. Now they are restricted in that they cannot be in a relationship while in a leadership position. One I know in particular has not been with anyone for 3 years. I have not discussed to much of his lifestyle with him but I think it is a great act of faith on his part.
