...and why or why not?

I'm the Lone Ranger on several interesting discussions...and yes, members of the group are open to discussions.

Please consider joining. It should be quite obvious why you should!

  1. Don't burn yourself out. I personally gave up on debates a long time ago. They rarely accomplish anything except raising blood pressures.
    1. Excellent point! Two of us are taking a break from it right now...

I think there is value in making an appearance now and then!
  2. Probably. I'm not able to handle the stress, though. Once I've said something, I'm not able to let someone else have the final word. I stay until the end, and I sit by the computer waiting for new responses. It becomes something of an addiction. Really not good for my health.
  3. Sometimes I like to show up at debates, state my faith in Christ, watch people freak out and tell me I'm a fool (essentially) and then just smile and walk away saying "I'm honored." :-)

    Jesus is real.
    There is one true God.
    Actually, everybody knows it.

    :-)
    1. Good point...just think if everyone at least showed up...people would freak!
    2. Walk away is the hard part. I usually come to terms wiht the fact that they think I am a fool. What kills me is that they will not even try to see your point of view. They call it religious debate, but it is really let me tell you what I think about Science! It is fun to get them going soemtimes though, just stay away from the loaded questions!
  4. UPDATE: I was banned from the site for being "disruptive" and "ill mannered"! Someone pointed out to me that those traits were cherished by its non-believing members....apparently not so much!

Well, if you guys are willing to chime in there...go ahead...just be ready to bail when led to get out!
    1. I am curious about the "disruptive" and "ill mannered" thing. What words or behavior of yours did they call these things?
    2. I was present for this whole debacle. Sometimes people mistake passion for ill manners and disruptive behavior (especially the younger generations). Religious Debate was not a forum designed to debate religion in a fair balanced way but was, in fact, started by an athiest to push their propaganda and bash Christians. Debating on there is a waste of energy and does not honor God in any way.
    3. I wondered about that when I visited the group. I wondered what the moderator's agenda was.
    4. Exactly...dlowe!
