I've spotted an new discussion feature. Can you name what it is?
Special note: Thanks Daniel.

I don't remember having the "Related Discussions" on the right, though maybe I've been blind. I do remember "Favorite Discussions", which was less useful. So is that it? Or have I delivered further evidence of my dottiness?
-
Sort by "recently updated" or "newest". Might be useful.
Edited to add: So this means we can look for new threads when we've been away without having to sort through ones we know about that have crowded the new ones off the first page. -
or - did you always have the "Recently Updated" and "Newest" sorting? Hmmm..
(I could pretend to be more interested in this than I am, but 3 strikes... I'm out) -

when you hover over someone's avatar in the little recent readers dealio - you get a tool tip with their username - and a time or a date. i'm assuming that's the time they were last active? last posted a comment?
dunno if that's the new feature or not, but i've sure never noticed it before. -
You would of thought I would know this.
I still think Daniel should have Tonys email address in his profile for help with blogcatalog
-
@ender, that could be it! Would take a monkey to figure out a tiger. Obviously...none of us spend enough time on here.

i'm sticking with the red "new" identification for new comments added to an existing thread.
Seems to fit what they are saying since you have to interact a bit and come back into a thread more than once to see it. -
Haha I can't believe you guys haven't caught it yet... I still don't think anyone is looking in the right place.
One good thing that has come out of this is it makes you look around at all the insane features packed into the discussions. I never really realized how many cool little things we have packed in here to make it easier to navigate/find stuff. -
The ability to "see" the first sentence or two of a discussion, merely by scrolling over the discussion title? With the latest upgrade I know this feature did not work and now it does!
Thanks! -
Argh! Sorry, I reported NINE's comment thinking we had the ability to give explanations with a report
So THAT'S not the feature

This is getting to be like that scene in "Field of Dreams" where the wife's family can't see the "baseball men" playing on the field.
Enough already. Tell us who the baseball men are! -
I'm still on with search by username ... pretty sure that wasnt there before.
Unless someone makes a fool out of me. -

I think it's the subscribe to this discussion, in the sidebar and right next to report this topic up there..

*insert singsong voice*
you're looking in the wrong place, you're looking in the wrong place.
MWAhahahahahaha
i know what it is. -
I tried to convince daniel to give you guys a hint but he likes to watch you all squirm.
Just use the discussions as usual... the new feature will reveal itself to you eventually.
That is all I can say -

you know what i love? everyone reading this is learning loads of new things about BC discussions that they never noticed before.

Well if it's the recent readers thing Ender first thought of - that doesn't work for me. All I get is the user name - which from memory I've always got. No tooltip about there last visit, etc.
