Was wondering where else to promote my blog ?

You could do worse than Technorati ( www.technorati.com/ ).

Then, there are search sites like Google (the Google directory will send to to DMOZ, good mountaintop of the directory kingdom - with a glacial pace when it comes to processing a new entry).

I find BlogCatalog + MyBlogLog have been my 2 Best things! It's not a Build Traffic Quick but hopefully U become part of excellent communities of Bloggers/People + Blogs*

SpicyPage has been Good too*

I find any of these that Show the People's Avatars is great cuz it's Nice to know some Peeps are poppin' by to Visit yer Blog!!

Hey I forgot about Top Blogs and finally joined!

You know I never use MyBlogLog like I should and haven't taken the time to learn about Stumble.

Facebook and Myspace are good and I use them every once in a while.

Thanks, stumbleupon is great im not shure how it works but one time my site got a huge amount of hits more than from anywhere. I will have a look at the list of social sites.

  You really should list on Technorati and MyBlogLog. That does not mean you have to add the javascript and widgets from MBL. Nor do you necessarily have to be active there. It's just that both of these places have the most blogs listed.
  
  That said, I get more traffic through this place. Of course, that might have something to do with my spending more time here.

I tie a banner to a horse, promoting my blog, then set the horse loose about London Town.

I also use this wonderful place, MyBlogLog, Technorati, StumbleUpon, FuelMyBlog, Facebook and MySpace.

I am all over the place, like a rash. A very handsome rash, at that.

I use BlogExplosion, but have found that the traffic isn't very good. They stay for the required 30 seconds then leave, never to return. If you find a better way, I'm all ears!

Zimbio & Widgetbox - I seem to get a fair few visits from Zimbio and as any traffic is a bonus. I'm also on Britblog which onlyu pops up occasionally.

Bizarre, but despite the SEO articles I write (to help us all), it's the photo gift themed entries that get the most response still.

I'd really like to find a way of getting my Blogger articles to appear in uk only searches - they do quite well in world searches at moment.

There's one thing I've learnt about blog promotion and that is to have a diversified promotional approach. However, you should maintain your main source of traffic which in my case are:

Google
StumbleUpon
BlogCatalog

I do not receive heavy traffic (I have only had about 2,500 visits since I started 3 months ago). A large proportion of my traffic has come from people who are searching for things on Google. The tip is to make sure you fully utilise the 'labels' option on each post and make the title of the post interesting.
