What is the greatest mystery in life in your opinion? According to my opinion, God is the greatest mystery. Second, this universe.

Universe and Reality are great mysteries, but there are tons of philosophical problems that pose great difficulties to mankind, for instance (a very short list): the ontology of the numbers - what numbers are? What is the nature of Mathematical objects? What is consciousness? Is everything physical or there are things that don't supervene on physical properties (Mind-Body problem)? For those who believe in God, there are also very delicate problems. My favourite one is the Problem of Evil: Is God responsible for evil? How to reconcile God with evil? Let me summarize (roughly): God has three attributes. He is Omnipotent, Omniscient and Omnibenevolent. One of these three attributes shall fall to turn God compatible with the existence of evil. Another problems: What is truth (relation between language and reality)? What is the nature of matter (ontology of physical objects)? Can we trust inductive reasoning? Of course if you are not a lunatic (or simply naive, dumb, joker...) your answers (best shots) should not fall into contradiction, and by doing that you seek consistency in your model, a worldview. Damn rough!

Who was the first guy to ever drink milk?
Squeeze the thing between a cows legs and drink what comes out. That sounds more brave than what Christopher Columbus did. -
God certainly is a great mystery. Millions believe in Him (or Her), although they have differing visions of Him (or Her), and there is not one single shred of evidence that He (or She) exists!
Homo Sapiens are the greatest mystery to me, elevated to the highest known level of intelligence and unable to use it! -
The greatest BC mystery
My two cents worth is that the greatest mystery to me today, at a time when so many are stressed right out over the economy, is why post yet another thread on a controversial issue that's been discussed before? www.blogcatalog.com/discuss/search.php?q=greatest+mystery+in+life
We are all aware that both the existence of a God is unproven and the origins of the universe are unknown, and we know that posting on these controversial topics always leads to passionate disagreements.
So why not post something that is likely to draw us together as a blogging community at this time of tension and distress, rather than posting something that's likely to pull us apart? IMO that's the greatest BC mystery.
