Every home schooler across the country needs to jump on this bandwagon. This may be being done in one State, however everyone needs to understand this effects every home schooler across the country. I have home schooled two of my children for years before putting them in public school and they are at the top of the class and getting straight A's. Since when does the government have any rights to how we educate our children, as long as they are being educated properly. I have been dealing with the public school system for 13 years and I am not impressed with a lot of the teachings or the teachers.
When our children go out into the real would are they really ready. No! They are certainly not guaranteed success and not given the real proper tools for success. While some parents just check homework and wait for the big day that the child moves on and they pray for success home schoolers
know were the child stands and have an immediate influence on that success. Some teachers are great but some are far from it and I am not willing to leave my children's life in the lottery of success! No one should have the right to tell us any different. I now home school my youngest and I am about to remove both of my other children from school and start homeschooling again. At least they were learning more and at a faster speed. Are we not allowed to give our children the opportunity for something better if we have the ability to do so? This is the USA, we do have rights and everyone in this country needs to decide if they are going to let government continue to dictate, or if they are going to start living as what this country was based on.
Great homeschooling site. I'll be blogging about this and giving you some linky love!
