Great blog!
I used to be a travel agent in Paris for a while: I just got tired of "traveling" people without traveling myself...but being independent sounds great!

Hi there,

What almost everybody in the USA know about South Africa is "Nelson Mandela" and crime. What these people do not know is that crime statistics in some areas in the USA are higher than in the utmost criminal places in South Africa.
South Africa is a safe country as long as you stay away from certain areas (as one does in his/her own country).
There are daily direct flights (from Atlanta) to Cape Town and that is only 2 hours easy drive from "South Africa's own Primary Unusual Attraction".
Americans, who don't mind a walk a mile or so, Love it.
In fact it should be on the list of all American travel agents (as it already does with the ones specialised in ecotourism. Just google to Soekershof and you will find out what we mean. Enjoy Life

there's still a lot of money in on and offline travel reservations. (You already know it but) the margins are incredible. I focus on online hotel reservations with www.4hotels.us but have worked in b2b travel in the past. If you want to be a guest blogger, you're always welcome (eg Hotel Reservations by Travel Agent - pros and cons of booking hotels through a travel agent or something).
