DL Foster,

I looked at your site some more and I just LOVE it!!! You don't mince words at all. It is so refreshing because I can only take so much of those super-spiritual, bubbly, happy shiney people in all their fake glory before I yack! They don't know the true meaning of the word "love". "Love" to them is saying nice things all the time, never correcting because that's negative, never watching, and always listening to the wolfbabble!

I already have you on my bloglist but I found that you have some REALLY good links yourself so I stole them - they are on my blog too!

Keep up the good work and don't let these people get you down. I plan on hanging around a lot!

Blessings.

Pensacola, FL - http://www.gaychristian101.com
announces the publication of a new book,
Gay Christian 101 - Spiritual Self-Defense For Gay Christians.

The church must stop viewing gays and lesbians as second class citizens. This 400 page book, written by a gay fundamental Baptist preacher who now ministers in the GLBT community, strongly affirms and defends gays and lesbians and their place in the church. That evangelicals and fundamentalists can be gay is not news. Evangelical mega-church pastors like Ted Haggard have demonstrated that truth. What is news is that the theological tide is turning. The church is slowly coming to understand that God lovingly affirms committed gay relationships.

In Gay Christian 101, Brentlinger carefully explains the clobber passages in cultural, doctrinal, historical and linguistic context, defending gays and lesbians based on what the Bible actually says.

His conclusions are startling yet wonderful news for the GLBT family. God affirms and blesses gay and lesbian relationships which are within the Biblical moral framework - committed, faithful, noncultic.

This book will shake up the traditional views of antigay Christians and may anger some Christians because it confronts their hypocrisy and false teaching about homosexuals. Gay Christian 101 may cause a new Reformation to include gay and lesbian Christians in the spiritual life of the church.

By reading this book, you will discover that scripture provides a clear and principled basis for the church to affirm and bless committed homosexual relationships if the church will listen to God.

Comments From Readers Of Gay Christian 101:

€œI got the book today and am already hooked. I just finished the Sodom chapter. I appreciate how you address the antigay rhetoric that is spewed at us.€

€œI appreciate that the book is easy to read and understand and I can see that it will make a lot of anti-gay ministers sweat and cause many of them to rethink how they have been distorting the Bible.€

€œI have been blown away by this book. If you are interested in finding out what the Bible really says (and DOESN'T say) about homosexuality, then I highly recommend this book.€

€œOne of the reasons I find this book so appealing is that its written in a way that makes you want to keep reading more.€

€œThis is the best book about homosexuality in years. Intelligently defends gay Christians while upholding the authority of Holy Scripture.€
